Understand gift-card selling eligibility

Understand the payment, product, and public checkout requirements that control whether guests can buy gift cards.

Why selling can be unavailable

Gift-card selling depends on more than creating a product. The restaurant needs a gift-card-ready payment integration before the panel allows product management for selling. If payment readiness is missing, Gift Cards shows Selling disabled instead of Ready.

Guests also need at least one active public product. If payment is ready but every product is archived, the panel can still be Ready, but the public booking page will not offer a purchasable gift-card product.

When selling is disabled, existing products and issued cards remain visible for review, but Add Gift Card, product edits, archive and restore actions, and the public purchase path stay blocked until payment readiness is complete. Use Open Integrations from the disabled state, or go to Settings / Integrations directly.

The Gift Cards page showing a disabled or unavailable gift-card selling state because payment setup is not ready.
Gift-card products should not be published until selling eligibility is ready.

Check payment readiness

Gift-card selling is enabled when either supported payment path is ready:

  1. For Stripe, the Stripe card in Settings / Integrations must show Ready. Not connected, Action required, or Under review means gift-card selling is not ready yet.
  2. For PAYTR, the PAYTR marketplace card must be available, enabled, and show Ready for Payout readiness. If it shows Action required or Blocked, save valid Beneficiary name and Turkish IBAN details before retesting.

After completing provider setup, use Refresh status for Stripe or Save payout settings for PAYTR, then return to Gift Cards and confirm the page status is Ready.

Check product availability

Payment readiness allows the restaurant to manage gift-card products, but guests only see products that remain active:

  1. Open Gift Cards.
  2. In Products, confirm at least one product is marked Active.
  3. Use Restore if a sellable product is Archived, or create a new product with Add Gift Card.
  4. Remember that archived products remain visible to staff in the panel, but they are removed from public checkout.

The public booking page only shows the Gift cards navigation link when the merchant is eligible and at least one public gift-card product exists. The direct /p/{restaurant-slug}/gift-cards page uses the same public product list, so an archived-only catalog does not provide a purchasable product.

Test public checkout

Before promoting gift cards:

  1. Open the restaurant's public booking page and use the Gift cards link.
  2. Select a product and complete buyer and recipient details.
  3. For Stripe, expect a redirect to Stripe Checkout.
  4. For PAYTR, expect an embedded secure payment iframe. TRY gift-card checkout requires a valid purchaser phone number.
  5. After payment confirmation, confirm the card appears in Issued Cards with a code, balance, status, expiry, and ledger history.

What to do if it is disabled

If selling is unavailable:

  1. Open Settings / Integrations, or select Open Integrations from Gift Cards.
  2. For Stripe, use Connect Stripe or Complete setup when shown. If the badge is Under review, wait for Stripe to finish verification, then use Refresh status.
  3. For PAYTR, complete the PAYTR marketplace payout fields and select Save payout settings until Payout readiness shows Ready.
  4. Return to Gift Cards and refresh or reload the panel.
  5. Confirm the page status is Ready and the product you want to sell is Active.

If Settings / Integrations shows a ready provider and Gift Cards has an active product, but the public booking page still does not show the Gift cards link, contact support with the merchant name, restaurant slug, and product being tested.
